Rain

Rain, rain, go away
Come again some other day
Remember singing this as a kid?! I do! I didn't always want the rain to go away. The truth is, I love rain!! Rain is relaxing. Yeah it makes me want to sleep, but I could use some relaxing-ness every once and a while. As you probably guessed it is raining here today. Rain makes me happy and if it wouldn't get me all wet and messy I'd consider dancing in the rain. Oh and speaking of dancing in the rain, look at this pin!

And doesn't this lovely outfit make rain even better?! I'd love a cute rain day outfit!

And doesn't every girl kinda want to do this one day? It'll probably be in a long while for me, but eventually maybe!

Ah yes, lovelyness.... Well, have a great day and don't forget to smile :)

MMM...Delicious?

Well, not exactly. Dinner tonight: grilled salmon, brocoli, and grapes.

It wasn't that bad, but it could have used some pizzazz. I also feel bad for leaving so much food behind, but I couldn't bring myself to eat the scaley skin and I'm not a fan of broccoli stems. If I were with my friends, right about now would be when they would play the starving kids in Africa line.

Anywhoo, this weekend was full of fantastic food and family fun. We went to Nashville, TN to see the Predators(NHL team) play hockey. The trip was complete with some window shopping, dinner at Joes Crab Shack, walking Broadway street to listen to the lovely music from many talented people, going to the game, and the traditional after-game-get-your-cotton-candy-for-a-dollar(yes that's a tradition in my family). I loved every minute of it. We took my grandparents along too and it was soo much fun. The really weird thing is the car rides to places are always my favorite part. I just sit there and look all around and Tennessee sure is a beautiful state to look around in. I like that on car trips there's no things to rush and get done and you can relax knowing there's nothing you should be doing.

An overall lovely weekend. Hopefully many more to come in this new year.

Goodbye Christmas

It comes that time of year again. I have to say goodbye to my favorite holidays. I will miss the decorations, the music, the joyfullness, and everything that comes along with Christmas. During the holiday season everyone seems happy and cheerful. Peoples' hearts open up and they think of others. Last night we took down the Christmas decorations in my house. Part of me wanted to keep my mini tree up all year. When I look at it it makes me smile and seeing it is a constant reminder to me of our Savior's birth and of his majesty. I will be glad to have my lamp and bedside table back to normal. I will miss you Christmas, but I know you will be back again all too soon.

Love always,
Miss Lyss

PS. Please ignore my unmade bed and bad quality photo(it's from an iPad). I'm working on both. :)
